What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is known as ‘the science of living well’.  It is often described as the sister science to Yoga.  The scope of Ayurveda is both ancient and quite vast, yet can offer directed advice towards healthier modern living.  Ayurveda addresses the whole person, teaching us how to live in harmony with nature: the seasons we see outside, the seasons of our life, and our own internal nature.  

Sometimes in our modern world of high-speed work and play, we believe that we can simply operate under our own terms, or outside of the laws of nature.  Ayurvedic wisdom teaches us to pay deep attention towards the amazing rhythms right outside our door, and inside of ourselves.  We remember that the strongest medicine is often found in our daily habits, lifestyle and food.  Ayurveda’s tools ground us in these practices, creating the best possible conditions for flourishing in our lives.

Let’s Do The Work.

  • Step 1

    You will complete an intake form, and we will schedule a 90-minute conversation to talk through your daily habits and lifestyle, current state of balance/imbalance and goals. This time will give me a clear sense of what you’re seeking to improve and where Ayurveda can better support you. At this time, you will be given 2-3 small daily changes to begin working with to move you towards your goals.

  • Step 2

    After our initial conversation, we will have another 45 minute conversation where we discuss your personal Ayurvedic recommendations. You will also receive an email with these details for you to reference as you implement them. These small changes will include diet, daily habits, exercise, breathwork and more.

  • Step 3

    After 2-3 weeks of implementation time, we will have one 20-minute follow-up call to check in. We can discuss what is working, and if you’re struggling to implement some of the changes. We will continue to tweak and personalize your recommendations to fit your life.
