Allow for More

Allow for More is an invitation to fully sense, feel and dance your body alive.  This will be a movement experience, with guidance and prompts to explore as we move, breathe and dance together.  Paramount in this offering is caring deeply about yourself and your body as you arrive, which means that you have full permission to participate or not as it works for you in each moment.  Together, we will strengthen our own inner knowing of and through the body.  We will engage our curiosity, creativity, imagination and play, a willingness to try the new and see what happens.  In community, we will move and find a truer sense of embodied confidence.

  • Jen Campbell

Jen Campbell is a seeker and a teacher, a lover of dance and poetry. She’s deeply curious about bodies, beings and the souls that inhabit them.  She’s often found wandering out in the mountains with her dog and reluctant teen, teaching movement of varying kinds, connecting with family and friends, performing with CoMotion and learning to be a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. Jen holds a BA in Dance from the University of CO and is excited to explore movement and healing in community.

  • Emily Fifer

Emily Fifer is a dance artist based in the Roaring Fork Valley. She has a Master of Fine Arts in Modern Dance from the University of Utah,

where she focused on improvisational techniques and somatic modalities to explore relationships in choreography.

She has performed with companies in Denver, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, Missoula and Carbondale. Since 2016, she has danced and choreographed for Carbondale Arts’ Fashion Show and became the assistant director of dance this past year. Emily’s improvisational style is inspired by a keen sense of detail for one’s own experience as it relates to other.

  • Meagan Londy

Meagan Londy Shapiro is a local choreographer and movement artist.  She has a B.A. in modern dance with a focus on composition and improvisation from Middlebury College.  She has performed and collaborated with various companies and choreographers in New England, New York City, Boulder, CO, and locally with CoMotion Dance Company.  Meagan has been the director of dance and choreography for Carbondale Arts’ Fashion Show since 2019.  Her approach to improvisational work can be summarized with 3 rules:  Show up.  Pay attention.  Don’t be attached to the results.
