Retreats

Yoga retreats offer both a quiet break from the stresses of daily life and a chance to dive more deeply into practice. With the support of a community of like-minded individuals, we can address our challenges both on and off the mat. If you’re so busy you don’t know how you could possibly get away for a few days, retreats are designed for you! Retreat time will include practice, meditation, time in nature and time with your fellow participants. Most importantly, retreats offer time for contemplation and insight. Expect a deeply nourishing experience.

Held at the beautiful True Nature Healing Arts

Carbondale, CO

October 2-6, 2019

Step away from the rush of daily life and nurture yourself in nature.
Retreat is a time of practice, community, contemplation, quiet and fun.
We will take the time to explore both the world around us, as well as the landscape within us.

Carbondale, Colorado is located in the Roaring Fork Valley, under the energy of beautiful Mount Sopris. This beautiful spot will certainly remind us of our place in the world: that we are both a tiny speck of something so immense, and that we are also of that immensity.

There will typically be 2 yoga practices each day–a morning energizing practice, and a later afternoon practice that is more restorative or cooling, as well as early morning meditation. Each afternoon, we will venture out together to enjoy nature–hiking Red Hill, exploring the valley, and soaking up at Avalanche Ranch.

Yoga sessions will take place at True Nature Healing Arts, in the kiva. This special space, humming with the energy of healing crystals, will elevate your practice and open your heart.

THE PEACE OF WILD THINGS - by Wendell Berry

When despair grows in me
and I wake in the middle of the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting for their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

Reka A.

Thank you very much for the relaxing and positive weekend. Your leadership and friendship gives so much to us. You have helped me to believe in myself and to try to surround myself with love. I am stronger from within mentally and physically. No matter what happens I can breathe and I can be there for my family and friends.

Despite the current events, challenges will make me stronger as you showed me how to find my inner peace. Challenges will give me an opportunity to lead my children with example not with words that fade away in the noises of daily clutter.
